Just Another Mani(c) Monday

Every week like clock work I do my nails.  I hate having chipped nails and I am sure that many of you can relate.  I don't know what it is about chipped nails but seeing them just drives me crazy!  I am a big fan of Essie colors and Sally Hansen along with gel manicures.  Normally my weekly selection is taken from my collection of Essie and occasionally a Sally Hansen color will be thrown in.

This week my nail color is Hide & Go Chic.  This color is absolutely amazing and I feel like it is such a hard color to describe because it is complex with a velevty like look to it.  It is a matte like finish if you don't have a top coat but it is not super matte.  The Essie website describes it as a "covetable azure blue."

The color changes dramatically depending on what kind of lighting you are in.  In the sun it is a fun brighter blue but when it inside it changes to a darker more subdued blue.  This is absolutely one of my favorite colors from Essie ever!  I will definitely be repurchasing this when I am running low!

As far as the formula goes I did not have any problems with major chipping and I loved the texture and consistency of it.

If you are interested in buying this color I have compiled some links from Amazon!  It is way cheaper to order these polishes online through Amazon then it is to buy from a local drugstore.  Check out the links below to find the best deals for each color or collection!

Love it or Leave it: They're Real Mascara

My first Benefit Cosmetics purchase was They're Real Mascara.  I had just run out of my mascara and someone had posted a link to an article that had a title like "The 23 Best Mascaras for Everyone" so I looked through the list.  I have dark, long, and thick eyelashes already.  To be honest, I don't need to have mascara on but I love to wear it.  If I am in a rush and have to throw on some make up I have three staples: eye shadow, mascara, and some blush.  I can go without the bronzer and the eyeliner but I need my mascara.

Note: I am not sure why it says $34.48 because it says $24 on Amazon.
When you click the link make sure you get the right one!

I honestly happened to remember the name of They're Real and then saw it in the store so I bought it.  The sales associate told me that it was a pretty popular mascara and that she loved it.  I took her word for it.  Since then I have bought several tubes of They're Real but I feel like they may be losing a bit of their appeal.  Maybe it is because everyone uses it now? Or maybe I am just too used to it?  I think I will try another mascara that I have in my sample box and see if when I go back to They're Real that I still love it.  They're Real is still an amazing mascara and it gives you length and volume and thickness and it is all around a great product.  Even if I found another staple to have I would probably keep mini tubes of this stuff in my make up bag just in case.

The verdict: Love it

I may get bored with it sometimes but I don't think I could leave it!

Currently Coveting

I love reading blogs with Pins from Pinterst throughout and pictures of fun whimsical wants but then again I hate them.  I hate them because they almost always lead to a dead end and you can't actually find that really cute, probably overpriced, notebook that you just have to have.  As I've been doing some online shopping this past week I bookmarked a few things to show you all! I've been using Amazon a lot because they tend to lead back to the original brand for the most part and they have a selection that you absolutely cannot beat.

One // 3pc Modern Navy Blue White Bedding Duvet Cover Set Full/Queen

I have been looking for over a year now to replace my comforter and find something to spruce up my room.  It has been a long and hard journey but I finally found this lovely set.  I would most likely use the white with navy on the top so it keeps my room looking bright!  I just feel like this a super cute print and it is the perfect mix of fun and calmness.

Two//Essie Dive Bar Collection 6 Pcs

I cannot stress how much I love these colors. I love metallic colors and these are just perfect! I probably would wear these more in the autumn months but I cannot get enough of them! The goldish color is probably my favorite. There are only a few left in stock so I would suggest getting these while you still can!

Three//Vera Wang Princess by Vera Wang for Women - 3.4 Ounce

This is my absolute favorite scent and I always get complimented on it. It is my signature scent. If I don't know which perfume I want to wear I end up defaulting to this one. You cannot go wrong with Vera Wang Princess. I even got my sister hooked on this!

Four//Ariat Women's Heritage Paddock Riding Boot Round Toe

When I started taking lessons again I decided to just wear my nice riding boots that were not meant for riding, they were meant to be seen. They are the Sam Edelman Women's Penny Riding Boot,Black,8 M US
which work for riding but they aren't meant for it. Well I decided to look up cute riding boots and I want these ones! Ariat is a well known brand and I just really like them and they would totally save my Sam Edelmans!

Five// kate spade new york Cedar Street Lace Small Harmony Shoulder Handbag

I have been obsessing over Kate Spade lately. I cannot get enough of the bags and accessories. When I found this bag it was love at first sight!

Is there anything that you are currently coveting? Let me know in the comments! I am always on the look out for new purses or just fun accesories!

Currently Reading: Four by Veronica Roth

I am an avid reader.  Once I start a good book I literally cannot put it down!  A few weeks ago I had nothing to do so I went through the bookshelf and picked out a book that looked good and that I had not read.  Fast forward about five hours and I had finished it cover to cover.  Before the Divergent movie came out I started reading the books.  I will do a full review of those books at some point but I will say now that I am definitely a fan!

So I was in Target the other day and saw the book Four and I literally stopped in my tracks.  I had not idea that there was another book to read.  I was a little hesitant because I did not know that it was a prequel and for those of you have read Allegient then you know that anything after Allegient would have been a bit odd.  Well I started reading the back and I decided to buy it.

I am not done reading yet but so far I like it.  It is really weird to see this whole other side of Four and not having Tris somewhere.  She was mentioned, not by name, in the beginning just once but has not been mentioned or seen since.  I wasn't sure if I would like a book that did not have Tris in it but I like it.  I like that the book is not romantic but more of a survival story.  I am definitely upset that once this book is over then that will be it with this series but I cannot wait to finish the book.  I am hoping that maybe there will be another mention of Tris even if just in passing.  I am only half way done but I am definitely recommending it!

For those of you who have not read any of this series here is the link to buy all four books! I absolutely recommend it!

This is only the first three books!

Welcome!

I am so excited to finally start this blog!  I have been trying to find the exact type of blog that I wanted to start and what it should be called and what it should look like and after months and months this is the outcome.  I have thought about everything from fitness to beauty to lifestyle and I finally came up with this lovely idea.

I should probably tell you all (if anyone even reads this!) about myself.  My name is Stephanie I am a 22 year old college graduate and current MBA student.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing which I haven't really gotten a chance to use yet with the exception of a few internships.  Because I am still going for another degree I haven't started working in the field yet but I am excited to do so!

I love all things preppy including lifestyle, the fashion, and just the idea of it.  I was born and raised in New England and I have a very classic style.  My style icons are Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy.  I believe pearls are an absolute staple and I also strive to look polished.  Organization is what I do best.  I am most content when the house is organized, my laundry is done, and I have nothing left on my to do list.  I am the queen of to do lists.  I have a list for everything and every day a new one is made.  I like to stay on top of my school work, chores, and anything else that needs to be done.

I am an equestrian who took a break from the ring but is now back in full force.  It has been many years since I stopped riding but I am taking lessons again and loving it.  I couldn't imagine my life without horses in it.  I love riding and I am currently starting to plan when I will be buying a horse of my own which is super exciting!

I cannot wait to start posting on here!
